PCIN is mailed out every Wednesday and is approximately
5 - 8 printed pages. I have considered making it shorter, but
the general consensus from current subscribers was that since
PCIN is weekly, the length was fine. PCIN contains the following
sections (when all sections are present):
Opening Thoughts
This is just the beginning blurb. Sometimes I announce new
things, sometimes I announce events, sometimes I just type what
I'm thinking.

The News
It is the nature of the PC industry that there is constant
change. There is news everyday about new software, technology
announcements ore even lawsuits. It is hard to keep up. This
section of the newsletter will highlight 3 - 5 stories from
the previous week. Links will be provided so readers who want
to read more can go the relevant site. I don't expect this to
be your only source of news, but it can help you reduce the
amount of other news lists you get in your Inbox.
I get the news from various online sources, as well as several
traditional publishing outlets. Some of the magazines/newspapers
I get are:
- Web Techniques Magazine
- eBusiness Journal
- Inter@ctive Week
- NetworkWorld Canada
- Communications & Networking Journal
- We Compute Magazine
- PC Magazine
- Intelligent Enterprise Magazine
- Embedded Systems Programming Magazine
- eWeek Magazine
- InformationWeek Magazine
- ent Magazine

PCIN Poll of the Week
This extremely unscientific poll asks a simple question each
week (have you ever purchased anything online?) and provides
the results the following week, along with the next question.

FreeHelp Forum
I used to provide FreeHelp via email. The volume of emails
was too high, so I set up a forum on the web site where people
could post their questions. Each week in PCIN I highlight one
of the questions and one of the answers and then give the subscribers
an opportunity to go to the web site to post their own.

PCIN.net Update
This short section is just a list of links to pages that are
updated or new.

The Tips and Other Stuff
Everyone wants to save time. Whether it is changing something
on your computer so it runs better, or it may be finding a web
site that you have been looking for, this is the section for
you. There is a "Cheap Trick" provided by WE-Compute!
magazine. There are also tips and web sites provdied by me and
other subscribers.
